Wire-sealed pouches can be made of either monofilm, standard (e.g., PP or PE) or compostable (PLA) materials, or laminated (e.g., PP/PP), and can be smooth or microperforated, neutral or printed.

Envelopes with wide (or “flat”) seals can be made:
- Mono-film (e.g., PET WELDABLE).
- Coupled with standard materials (e.g., PET/PP, PET/PE, PA/PE, PET/PE-EVOH, PAPER/PET/PP, PET/ALU/PE, etc.).
- Recyclable mono-polymer laminate (e.g., PP/PP, PE/PE).
- Combinations of compostable materials (e.g. PAPER/PLA).
