Forapack was founded in Abruzzo, Italy, in 1992 with the production of microperforated heat-sealed films and pouches for bread packaging, and evolved as a converter company specializing in the production of flexible packaging for food, pet-food, and non-food packaging.
The proposed products, can be made from either traditional polymers (polypropylene, polyethylene, polyester) with an eye always on recyclability, or compostable polymers (PLA) to ensure maximum eco-sustainability of the packaging.

Production

Our production is mainly for the Food sector (but not only), with Certified and always first-rate materials, and has focused over time on four types of processing:

Our departments

Inside our 14,000-square-meter factory in Abruzzo, we directly perform and control all stages of production, thanks to the presence of highly specialized machinery and personnel.

Graphics Office

Supports clients in the creation of all graphic designs and polymer production, arranging for pre-press work.

Print

Performs web printing jobs in maximum 1,400 mm range, equipped with two 6-8 color flexo presses.

Coupling

The Laminating Department is equipped with two Solvent-less laminating machines for making multilayer laminates, one of which is specific for paper laminating (including banding).

Hot chamber

After the lamination phase, the stationing of the films in the temperature-controlled Hot Chamber, which allows perfect catalyzation of the glues, is essential.

Microdrilling

The Micro-drilling Department is equipped with 3 hot micro-drilling machines that allow for different types of drilling, including banding, according to the customer’s packaging needs.

Cutting and Rebinding

The Slitting Department is equipped with 2 high-speed slitters for making millimeter-accurate Banded Coils (laser measurement) of varying lengths according to customer needs

Envelope welding

The Welding Department is equipped with 3 wire sealers, 2 wicket sealers and 2 flat sealers for the production of numerous types and patterns of preformed pouches.

Warehouse

In our covered warehouse of about 1,000sqm all loading and unloading of goods, first inspection and storage of raw materials and semi-finished products take place.

Indoor laboratory

Our Laboratory is able to conduct in-line and off-line quality control, and perform physical tests on both the raw materials used and finished products.
